Deadpool cover and thoughts

I have noticed when looking at other blogs that I am not much of a talker on the interwebs like I am in person. I don't do a great job of really talking about my work like most people do. Other blogs many people talk about issues if they are an artist, or just things on their minds. I will start doing this more for people just passing by my blog and might want to know more about me as a person and not just me as an artist. I have a lot of things to say about the comic industry and life.
I was more about let the art speak for itself, but in more posts i will go further into my process and how i work and tackle inking and penciling.
More to come

Back to the grind

Just graduated from the Savannah College of art and Design. yay for me. Since leaving college. I have been very busy, going to cons. I just attended South Florida Super Con, which went well. Before that I went to Heroes con in NC with fellow artist Zach Bassit. So as you can imagine things are extremely busy. I will be posting more art work as it comes in. As of right now I'm sticking true to being an inker for the moment. And Ive been really busy with all the work Ive been getting to ink over. Kind of a preview, I am inking over Drew Zucker at the moment, for an anthology that he and I will be in. Also trying to finish up a book that Zach and I have been working on for awhile. I will be putting up some preview pages from that as soon as they are done. For the time being I'm back home in South Florida, but that is soon to change. I'm just happy I don't have to go back to GA for a long time. But like I said before I'll be posting more for now on.

Passing of a friend

A few days ago I found out that a good friend of mine pasted away from a drug overdose. Ray Pachter struggled with addiction, but out of all this he was an amazing musician. I had the honor to share stages with him for many years with many different bands. I watched him grow as a person and a musician. I think out of all of us that went our ways in life he stayed true to his love of music. As much as his untimely death hurts now, Life goes on and we have to remember the good times and keep on living for ourselves and the ones that have past. A lesson that i took for this is that, people die that is the way of life and it is alright to be sad but you have to be strong. If anything this has hurt me at first i don't think it has really got to sink in yet but it pushes me to keep living, follow my dreams to be a professional artist. And just keep kicking ass in school. I will miss you Ray. You were a great friend, and i will always hold onto the crazy memories that i have of you and the shows we played.
